Shipping FAQ

Our standard $4.50 Flat Rate Shipping applies to all orders shipped worldwide, and will be displayed at checkout. We typically ship orders within 5 business days.

Below is a brief summary of our standard United States Postal Service ("USPS") flat rate shipping from USA to USA, Canada, and most international destinations. All USPS rates are for shipping small lots of seed up to 3 oz. Our goal is to process, fulfill, and ship orders within 5 full business days. Rates indicated below are current at time of publication, and may be revised by us at any time. (Please see all of our Shipping Policies in detail.)

 

USA to USA destination shipping:

• Seed orders - Fulfilled and shipped within 5 business days via USPS Ground Advantage with online tracking and $100 replacement insurance: $4.50 Flat Rate.
• Seed orders delivery: 5-7 full business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after the shipping date.*
• Bamboo seedlings ship when indicated on their respective product listing page to USA only via either USPS Priority Mail or Ground Advantage with online tracking and $100 replacement insurance: $4.50 Flat Rate.

USA to Canada destination shipping:

• Fulfilled and shipped within 5 business days via standard flat rate shipping via USPS International First Class mail without tracking: $4.50USD Flat Rate.
• Delivery time: 10-12 full business days (excluding weekends and holidays)  after the shipping date.*

USA to International destination shipping:

• Fulfilled and shipped within 5 business days via standard flat rate shipping via USPS International First Class mail without tracking: $4.50USD Flat Rate.
• Delivery time: minimum 15 full business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after the shipping date.* Please note that deliveries in India typically take longer due to India Post delays.
• Due to USPS international mail service suspensions we’re unable to ship to the Middle East at this time, including: Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, UAE.

Pre-order Items

If your order includes product/s designated on the respective listing page as "Pre-order" with shipping at a later date, we'll make a determination of best shipping practices for your order and either (1) wait to fulfill and ship your entire order when the pre-ordered product is ready to ship, or (2) ship all available in-stock items in one shipment, and ship the pre-ordered product/s separately at a later date. Your Shipment Confirmation email itemizes the products fulfilled and included in each shipment, with any withheld pre-ordered item/s to be shipped separately when available.

Import Duties, Tariffs, or other Fees

As always, orders shipped from our US location to our domestic customers in the US and to our international customers worldwide are never subject to US import tariffs. US import tariffs only apply to shipments from non-US countries that are imported into the US.

Our outgoing shipments from our US location to international destinations are exports, and they are never subject to US import tariffs. Any US import taxes are paid by US companies and American consumers on incoming imports purchased from non-US foreign sellers and shipped to the US.

The US has ended de minimis exemptions, and has also instituted a universal minimum tariff with potential additional country-specific tariffs for foreign imports to the US. Those import tariff taxes apply only to shipments imported from foreign countries into the US. Those US import tariff taxes do not apply to our shipments exported from the US to international destinations. 

For international orders, we mail only small lots of seeds typically exempt from additional fees upon arrival at the destination country. Most countries have longstanding de minimis exemptions that allow the import of small, low value shipments like ours without tariffs or other import fees.

Different countries have their own import duties, fees, tariffs, and the like. It's not possible for us to know the current import regulations for other countries. While our small seed shipments are typically exempt, it is the customer's responsibility to know their own country's current import rules and regulations before placing an order that will be shipped from the United States to their destination country.
