Shipping FAQ

All orders ship via our standard US$4.50 USPS First Class flat rate, which is shown at checkout.

Below is a brief summary of our standard United States Postal Service ("USPS") First Class shipping from USA to USA, Canada, and most international destinations. Our standard Flat Rate Shipping will be displayed prior to final checkout. All USPS First Class rates are for shipping small lots of seed up to 3 oz. We typically fulfill and ship orders within 3 business days. Rates indicated below are current at time of publication, and may be revised by us at any time. USA destination shipping:

• Seed orders under $40.00USD (excluding shipping) - ship via USPS 1st Class mail: $4.50.
• Seed orders $40.00+ (excluding shipping) - ship via USPS Ground Advantage with online tracking and $100 replacement insurance: $4.50.
• Seeds shipping time: 7-10 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)*
• Bamboo seedling orders ship to USA only via USPS 3-day Priority Mail with online tracking and $100 replacement insurance: $4.50

Canada destination shipping:

• Standard flat rate shipping via USPS International First Class mail: $4.50USD.
• Shipping time: 12-15 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).*

International destination shipping:

• Standard flat rate shipping via USPS International First Class mail: $4.50USD.
• Shipping time: minimum 15 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).* Please note that deliveries in India typically take somewhat longer due to India Post delays.

Pre-order Items

If your order includes product/s designated on the respective listing page as "Pre-order" your entire order will ship when the pre-ordered product becomes available.

Import Duties, Tariffs, or other Fees for International Shipments

Many countries, including the US, have de minimis exemptions for imports, meaning that goods under a certain value are exempt from import duties, tariffs, and taxes. The specific thresholds and regulations vary significantly by country, and can change at any time. 

The Bamboo Seed only ships small lots of seeds (we do not sell seeds in wholesale or bulk volumes). These smaller shipments with an associated lower monetary value typically fall well below most international de minimus exemptions, and are not subject to additional import fees. For example, at the time of this writing, the de minimus exceptions for imports to the US is $800; for Canada CAD 150; for the EU 150 Euros; and for Australia AUD 1000. International shipments with a dollar value below a destination country's respective thresholds are generally not subject to additional charges.

The specific thresholds and regulations vary significantly by country, and can change at any time. If you are unsure about your country's customs regulations, please contact your country's relevant agency directly before placing your order. It is not possible for us to know the current import regulations for every country worldwide, and we are unable to replace or refund for shipments surcharged or otherwise delayed by a foreign country's customs or other regulatory agency.
