Shipping FAQ

Our standard $4.50 Flat Rate Shipping applies to all orders shipped worldwide, and will be displayed at checkout.

Below is a brief summary of our standard United States Postal Service ("USPS") flat rate shipping from USA to USA, Canada, and most international destinations. All USPS rates are for shipping small lots of seed up to 3 oz. We typically fulfill and ship orders within 3 business days. Rates indicated below are current at time of publication, and may be revised by us at any time. (Please see all of our Shipping Policies in detail.)

 

USA to USA destination shipping:

• Seed orders - ship via USPS Ground Advantage with online tracking and $100 replacement insurance: $4.50 Flat Rate.
• Seed orders shipping and delivery: 10-13 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after the date of order.*
• Bamboo seedling orders ship to USA only via USPS 3-day Priority Mail with online tracking and $100 replacement insurance: $4.50 Flat Rate.

USA to Canada destination shipping:

• Standard flat rate shipping via USPS International First Class mail without tracking: $4.50USD Flat Rate.
• Shipping and delivery time: 12-15 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)  after the date of order.*

USA to International destination shipping:

• Standard flat rate shipping via USPS International First Class mail without tracking: $4.50USD Flat Rate.
• Shipping and delivery time: minimum 23 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after the date of order.* Please note that deliveries in India might take longer due to India Post delays.

Pre-order Items

If your order includes product/s designated on the respective listing page as "Pre-order" your entire order will ship when the pre-ordered product becomes available.

Import Duties, Tariffs, or other Fees

As always, orders shipped from our US location to our US customers are never subject to tariffs or other surcharges.

For international orders, we mail only small lots of seeds and we’ve not experienced any foreign customs issues with orders mailed to many different countries over the years. Most countries have longstanding de minimis exemptions that allow the import of small, low value shipments like ours without tariffs or other import fees.

While the US has ended de minimis exemptions, and also instituted a universal minimum 10% tariff plus additional country-specific tariffs, those potentially substantial tariff taxes apply only to shipments from foreign countries to the US.

The new US tariff taxes do not apply to our shipments from the US to both domestic and international destinations. Our outgoing shipments from our US location to international destinations are exports, and they are never subject to the US tariff taxes paid by US companies and American consumers on imports they purchase from non-US foreign sellers shipping their products to the US.

It's not possible for us to know the current import regulations for other countries worldwide. While our small seed shipments are typically exempt, it is the customer's responsibility to know their country's current import rules and regulations before placing an order.
